FirstClass is used by over fifty major national charities. Since FirstClass was first designed by a group of leading charities in 1991, it has been continually upgraded to meet the developing requirements of legacy management and the latest innovations in computer technology. They also offer FirstClass Express, a web-based version of FirstClass, which is used by a growing number of smaller charities.
Clear and Legacy Foresight work together on the main Legacy Monitor programme. FirstClass clients' data is automatically extracted and formatted for the Legacy Monitor programme, saving time and ensuring accuracy.
Building on the Legacy Monitor experience, Clear and Legacy Foresight have set up a new joint venture: Clear Foresight, combining our skills in data analysis and software development to creat the next level of legacy intelligence. We aim to transform the way that legacy information is captured, analysed and presented. Clear Foresight will enable legacy managers to carry out complex data analysis and to visualise trends in intuitive ways. The service will draw together the latest information from a range of different sources, allowing users to see the bigger picture.
ILM is relied upon by the charity sector to ensure that the £2 billion of legacy gifts received each year is managed in accordance with donors’ wishes and in compliance with the Law. ILM also works with bodies including the Law Society, the Charity Commission and the Law Commission to ensure that the legal environment supports and promotes charity legacy giving. Legacy Foresight are corporate sponsors of the ILM.
Gifts left in wills are the foundation for many charities in the UK; without them they would struggle to survive. Remember A Charity was formed in 2000 and now has over 140 member charities. Their collective aim is to do what no single charity has been able to achieve on its own – to encourage more people to leave a gift to charities in their will, after they've looked after their family and friends, so that it becomes the norm for the many rather than just the few.
Legacy Foresight and Remember A Charity are strategic partners, working on a range of awareness raising initiatives.
Hospice UK are the national charity for hospice care, supporting over 200 hospices in the UK.
Every year, UK hospices provide vital care to 200,000 people with terminal or life-limiting illnesses, as well as providing support for many of their loved ones. Hospice UK works closely with them to support their work and to create a stronger voice for hospice care.
Collectively local charitable hospices need to raise £1.9 million every day from their local communities to fund the care they provide. A key focus of Hospice UK’s work is supporting its members with their income generating activities. They share knowledge and good practice by developing national initiatives that members can get involved in, as well as delivering conferences, training, networks and publications
Legacy Foresight works in partnership with Hospice UK to offer local hospice charities tailored modules of our research and benchmarking programmes at reduced costs.
They work to help voluntary organisations and volunteers make the biggest difference they can, by:
– Connecting organisations with the people, partners and resources they need
– Representing the voluntary sector and volunteering to policy-makers, using the best research to demonstrate their true value
– Supporting voluntary organisations by generating and identifying the best knowledge and expertise
Like NCVO, Legacy Foresight are committed to supporting voluntary organisations in all their forms. We are proud to be long-standing corporate members of NCVO.
